Had one ever been to a sea beach to watch the sun rising from the lap of the blue ocean, he must have seen the rays of the rising sun spreading crimson over the blue waters & painting the azure sky with an unseen brush that at once makes the viewer wonder-struck & he could not but help admiring the magic hands of the unseen creator. The hide & seek play of the moon & the clouds; the spectrum of the rainbow on a cloudy sky; the panorama of colourful flowers in a garden, everywhere one can find
the hidden hands of the creator.

While admiring the beauty of creation, one nurtures a secret desire in the depths of his heart to create something, which may give pleasures to others & satisfaction
to him. But his desires remain suppressed under the layers of his heart because of
multiple factors working at the same time. Sometimes he cannot muster courage enough
to create something new for fear of being chided or laughed at for his misadventure;
sometimes the exigencies of day to day affairs of his mundane life take precedence over his longings & do not permit him enough time or energy to pursue what his heart
fondly so desires. He discards the very idea altogether from his mind, thinking that he
is not cut out for such things.

It is not necessary that one should be a God or a Michel Angelo or a Leonardo da Vinci
or one Rabi Thakur to be a creator. One can be a creator in his own way, if he wants to be the one. Creation does not mean a piece of art or a masterpiece in literature or a hither to unknown scientific invention. Anything which is novel is a creation. It may be a new method of education or finding means for jobs for the unemployed or getting rid of corruption. It does not matter if it is not appreciated by all. If one really wants to create something & to be different from others, age is no bar for him or he has to be a genius. One can aspire to be creative at any stage of his life.

To be creative one has to free himself from the shackles of fear first, because fear is the greatest roadblock that forbids him to try anything new. One has to love himself
& be positive in his thoughts & action. It will build his confidence & help him try novel ideas. It is easy to walk on the beaten paths. But it will only be repetitive & culminate in ennui. Of course it requires immense courage & will power to explore the virgin terrain & make a new path where there is none and hitherto not treaded by others. But if one resolves to do something different & sets out on a journey to fulfill his heart’s desire it will be like an adventure for him no less than discovering a new land. The path before him might not be strewn with roses & he might have stumble time & again & has to encounter thorns, brickbats & heart burns more frequently than he ever imagined. But it will be worth risking; because ultimately it will be he who will be the winner.

But to be eligible for it, one has to be innovative & not imitative. He has to think new & interesting thoughts. If at all he ever has to compete with anybody, it should be with himself only. Looking inwards & thinking out of box will give him enough impetus to carry on his lone journey on the paths of creativity. His hard work will one day reward him amply & the sky only is the limit for his achievements.
