Review
Sometimes big things come in a small package, I haven't seen a coffin sized packaging for a precious diamond. Same goes right for this amazingly made movie "UP".
I am a normal human being with a normal life and i love and appreciate small things of my life and this movie has satisfied me completely.
It is a story of Carl and Ellie and their everlasting love for each other. Ellie had a childhood dream of moving her small clubhouse at the top of a mountain cliff with Paradise falls flowing below it.
They were adventurous as kids and their common interests and the cute silence of Carl made Ellie fall in love with him and they both got married. Everytime Ellie asked Carl to fulfill her dream, Carl "crossed his heart" as an agreement.
They grew old and Ellie died one day, leaving Carl alone in modern day world with her memories and her dreams. People suggested Carl to shift to an old age home and when old age home people came to escort Carl, shockingly he decided to convert his small home into a flying house with the help of millions of balloons.
Then came in Russel, a kid who has lost his father and wanted to be the senior wilderness officer by helping Carl and he joined Carl into this amazing journey.
I leave the rest of story for my dear friends to watch and comprehend.
As this is an animation movie from Pixar, hence I wouldn't stress out my mind on commenting on the performances and technicalities of this movie.
Just some words for this movie:
This movie satisfies the kid inside you, just go back to the memory lane and remember those old dreams that you wanted to fulfill, but couldn't because of the race that we all are running now. We are proving something to this world and have forgotten our real selves.
This movie talks about deep love, dreams, letting go of old memories for present, cherishing every small thing to be content and most of everything, it talks about Being Happy.
Leave torontinos, benegals, nairs, speilbergs, ghais, shayamlans, for sometime and watch this sweet movie and cherish the small things of your life.
A must watch
Please, don't ask questions like "Why", "How", "What", you will regret.
This isn't real as our life, and so were our dreams. Just forget the harsh realities of life for 2 hours and relive your childhood dreams.
Just awake the innocent kid who has been sleeping inside you and watch this movie.
Slow down the speed of your steps, sit, relax, take a deep breath, find your old school snaps, old pals, and now think of any dream that has been left behind in the race of successful life.
Remember the faces of those people who said good things to you, blessed you, did something really sweet for you and you have forgotten all of them.
Ask yourself, What are we missing and what are we getting from this life?
I hope my friends will cherish these tiny moments from their busy schedule.

Judicial Activism
It is the current term in use. It involves innovative interpretation of the nuances of law. According to Justice Verma of the supreme Court, "The role of the judiciary in interpreting sxisting laws according to the needs of the times and filling in the gaps appears to be the true meaning of judicial activism."
In other words, it is judicial activism that helps to advance the cause of law, and it has been a continuous process in india. Judicial activism is, in fact, an essential part of judicial review.
Judicial activism is necessary to put a check on tyrrany born out of temporary political majority in legislaturewhich might otherwise seek to rewrite the constitution in order to be entrenched in power. In the same way judicial intervention becomes inevitable when the executive and the legislature abandon their duties and responsibility.
There are fears in some quarters that the judiciary is overstepping its authority, that it is trespassing into spheres reserved for Parliament and the executive.
But what are the citizens to do if the executive authority would not do anything about the spreading canker of curruption in public life, and the legislature, including the highest one, is unable to do anything except to paralyse itself? Having lost all hopes of self reform by the political system, most indians have started viewing politicians of all hues with cynicism , even contempt. They look up to the higher judiciary as the only possible redeemer of the dwespairing situation.
Judicial activism may seem disturbing when seen to encroach upon executive and legislature sphere of action. But what else is possible, if the executive is laz or the legislature lack the initiative to mend outdated laws or remain impervious to public pressure to bring about a change when public interest clashes with the members' collective self-interest?
Thinking Beyond
It is difficult, if not impossible, to be genuinely curious about someone's opinion and try to reach some deeper understanding of what the person is thinking when you've already judged it stupid or uninformed or even dangerous. The impact on creativity is no less striking. That's why one of the basic ground rules of brainstorming is "no evaluation – any idea is a good idea." […]
At this point, you may be thinking, "Well Okay, but I already do that. I don't push my opinions on anybody. And I listen, even when I don't agree." We invite you to consider that you may not be particularly challenged until someone says something that runs counter to a deeply held belief of yours and then, suddenly, you find yourself on "full autopilot" with not a millimeter of distance between you and your judgments. You will find yourself acting out your judgments rather than suspending them. You may not jump on the person or even strongly express your dissent, but you will most assuredly stop listening.
Practicing suspension of judgment requires that you be willing to release, at least temporarily, your certainties, your attachment to your judgments, opinions, and evaluations, even in the most trying of circumstances. To do this, you will need to be begin developing a degree of detachment from your judgments, otherwise you will find yourself moved by them so quickly that your conscious mind will have no time to think and respond from a more considered vantage point.
Being detached does not mean that you are completely separate from your judgments or that you have no connection to them. Detachment is about creating an internal neutral observer that is not provoked by, and therefore not at the effect of whatever judgments, thoughts, or feelings might arise in a conversation or dialogue. When our thoughts or judgments put us into an autopilot reactive mode, we lose most, if not all, of our ability to listen openly.

The Self
a slightly different viewpoint--
of the One that is . . .
The unique vantage point of you
sees me as the other
and I, you--
yet we are parts of the same Heart.
One Heart with many eyes and stories.
Rest in the Heart--let go the stories.
We are One.

What Freedom Means to Me
What is freedom? It is difficult question to answer categorically. Does it mean absolute liberty to do as one pleases? Complete non resilient to pursue any fancy that strikes one? Is such a free existence possible at all for a human being? Freedom, is, indeed a nebulous concept, laying itself open to several interpretations, even conflicting ones.
There are champions of freedom who vehemently oppose any form of social control. Thoreau at least allows the need of some government - " the best government is the least government" - but there are others who denounce any sort of organisation at all. But given the imperfect nature of human beings, surely such freedom would degenerate into anarchy and finally to the survival of the fittest in the sense of brute power. It would result in tyranny of the weak by the strong.
At the other extreme are those who are thoroughly suspicious of individual freedom. They have such a low opinion of human freedom that they can not allowan individual the right to choose. Any deviation from a rigid social average is seen as a threat to the society. Social equilibrium is the end -all to which individual initiative must perforce, be sacrificed. But such a society will soon lose its vibrant dynamism, become ponderous and static and finally collapse under the weight of its own rigidity.
The extreme thus can harm society. But one may deduce that freedom is a social concept. If human beings lived as individual entities, the meaning of freedom has no importance. It is because they live in groups, in societies, that the concept of individual freedom needs to be understood.
Exploring life
Jean Paul Sartre: "Everything has been figured out, except how to live."
Robert Frost: "In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on."
Oscar Wilde: "To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all."
